Dr Dimitri Gavriloff is a Clinical Psychologist specialising
in the field of behavioural sleep medicine. He combines his
experience of working clinically in the NHS together with his research expertise to offer evidence-based tailored cognitive-behavioural approaches to people struggling with their sleep.
QUALIFICATIONS & AFFILIATIONS
Dr Gavriloff has worked in the NHS since 2011. He was drawn to specialising in the field of sleep medicine after having worked with patients with chronic pain conditions and associated psychological difficulties. It was their almost ubiquitous experience of poor sleep that first drew him to specialising in the field of sleep disorders. Prior to training as a Clinical Psychologist he spent several years practicing as a Buddhist monk in the Theravada forest tradition in Thailand.

Dr Gavriloff jointly runs the Non-Respiratory Sleep Disorders Service at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
He is also a Clinical Course Tutor in Sleep Medicine at the Sleep and Circadian Neuroscience Institute (SCNi), University of Oxford and is the Course Lead for the University of Oxford’s Two-Day Masterclass in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia.
Dr Gavriloff is also a specialist sleep medicine consultant for various organisations, including for Big Health Ltd., the company behind the ground-breaking digital treatment for insomnia SLEEPIO.
In his spare time, he is also a regular reviewer for several peer-reviewed scientific sleep journals.
